Lenovo Miix 720 2-in-1 tablet with Kaby Lake processor coming soon


Lenovo is working on an upgraded Miix 700 2-in-1 tablet which is called Miix 720, and will be the company's answer to Microsoft's upcoming Surface Pro 5. The new model will come with Intel's latest Kaby-Lake processor and a higher resolution screen among other changes.

The Lenovo Miix 720 will feature a 12-inch 2880 x 1920 display and will support up to 16GB RAM and up to 1TB PCIe SSD. It will be available with Core i3-7100U, Core i5-7200U or Core i7 7500U processor options.

Connectivity suite on board will include USB 3.1 Type-C port, USB 3.0 port, USB 2.0 port, headset jack, microSD card slot, WiFi 802.11ac and Bluetooth 4.1.

Other features are dual array microphones, stereo speakers, stylus support, Dolby enabled stereo speakers,  5MP rear camera, and 1MP front camera with support for Windows Hello. The battery inside will be a 41 WHr unit, which is good for up to eight hours.

Similar to Miix 700, the Miix 720 will have a built-in adjustable kickstand called watchband hinge, which lets you adjust the display across various angles. It will also comes with a keyboard cover which now has backlit key.

Currently, it is not known when Lenovo will launch the Miix 720 tablet.
