Meizu Pro 6s with Helio X25 processor, 4GB RAM announced

Meizu has introduced a new variant of Pro 6 dubbed Pro 6s in China. Apart from the addition of 's' to the name and a few hardware upgrades with new camera and bigger battery, the Pro 6s is almost similar to Pro 6. It has the same premium full metal body with mTouch home button that houses the fingerprint sensor, like the Pro 6, but has a new curved antenna design.

The Meizu Pro 6s features 5.2-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) Super AMOLED pressure sensitive display and is powered by 2.5GHz deca-core Helio X25 processor clubbed with Mali T880 GPU and 4GB RAM, along with 64GB on-board storage (no microSD card slot). It runs Flyme OS based on Android Marshmallow.

For photography, theres 12MP Sony IMX386 main camera with f/2.0 aperture, PDAF, laser auto-focus and ring shaped LED flash. The front facing selfie camera is a 5MP unit.

Connectivity options include dual-SIM slots, 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.1 LE, GPS and USB Type-C 3.1 port. It packs Cirrus Logix CS43L36 chip, which will enable HiFi audio output and is backed by a 3060mAh battery.

For comparison, the Meizu Pro 6 had 21.6MP main camera, additional 32GB storage variant, microSD card slot, a lower 2650mAh battery and shipped with the now dated Android 5.1 Lollipop.

The Meizu Pro 6s is priced at CNY 2699 ($400 | Rs.26,600), which is lower than the CNY 2799 ($430 | Rs. 29,000) price tag of Pro 6. It comes in Moonlight Silver, Rose Gold, Black Start and Champagne Gold colors and will be available in China starting November 4.
