WhatsApp Users Are Falling For Message That Claims To Charge Phone's Battery To 100%

French writer Voltaire had given the quote, "Common sense is not so common", in 1764. Although I don't know how true this quote is, because I believe that I have an extremely poor sense of logic and reasoning, a message which is being widely circulated on WhatsApp apparently has some weird sense behind it.

Here is a snap of the message that is being circulated:

To summaise the contents of the message in short, the message claims that the battery levels of your phone will be charged all the way up to 100% in an instant. All you need to do is forward the message to two WhatsApp groups you are a member of. Woah, your phone's battery will then be charged to 100%. All this is irrespective of the device you use, it can be an iPhone, an Android smartphone or even a tablet.

Wow, this is pretty amazing, isn't it? I guess this message unlocks some kind of secret potential our device's battery possess. According to the law of conservation of energy, energy can neither be created nor be destroyed. I'm thus wondering what source of energy does that message use to suck electricity from and charge our devices. I guess it might be pulling off electricity from nearby electric poles or wires through the means of wireless transmission. This is what wireless charging is then after all. Wow, I'm truly in awe of the levels of engineering we have achieved today.

I'm done with sarcasm here. But, honestly, I have come across this message multiple times in various groups I'm a part of. And I believe this is pretty obvious that this message can't charge your phone's battery in any way. So, if you come across this message, please don't forward it and in case you come across someone who has forwarded this message, do tell them how ridiculous the contents of the message sound. WhatsApp is a very popular service and as users, it is up to us only on how we use this service. We can either use it to circulate nonsense like this or use it to exchange vital information and to connect with our loved ones.
