Meet PixBar, An App That Brings Pixel Style Buttons To Stock Android Phones (Without Root)

There are many tricks on the internet using which one can get the Pixel-style navigation bar and most of them work charm but they either require some flashing stuff or root. Here's where Pixbar takes the lead. Pixbar is an app that brings the Pixel-style buttons to any Android device which is running stock Android and has on-screen buttons (obviously). Stock Android phones like Nexus, Moto, OnePlus and not to forget Android One are the strong contenders to run this app easily without any hassle.

The app has been in beta since a long time and has just come out as a stable one recently, with the v1.0.9 and being the first stable release, one really can't assume it to be working wonders as it still contains some bugs. Well, the setup and concept is very easy, it only needs the permission to draw over other apps and once it's granted that, boom you're all good to go.

Just align the buttons with the on-screen buttons and your phone has got the Pixel feel, right there! The best thing is that it doesn't require any root or any hassle like flashing and stuff but yes, it needs to be polished a bit as in our testing on Moto G4 Plus, the app seems to stop working while using apps like WhatsApp and Chrome which kills the experience to an extent, but again, this is v1.0.9 and has barely come out of beta, so it's still worth a shot and another update should be round the corner. Another thing is that we can even customize the color for the buttons which adds the customization element in a greater form.

Currently, this app is a paid one standing at the Google Play with 0.99$ (65INR) and the developer dunrite has planned to make this app compatible with those phones which offers various non stock on screen style buttons which will give it more exposure. You can head up to the Google Play link hereAnd here's the APK for the same

The app can be a pain for those phones that contain AMOLED screens and have the screen burn in issue, shadows seems to remain after the usage of this app for few minutes.
