Reliance Jio prime membership deadline might be extended till next month

Reliance Jio's Happy New Year offer which offered Jio subscribers unlimited voice calling, SMS, access to Jio suite of apps and unlimited data (FUP of 1GB) will end on March 31 2017. However Jio subscribers can enjoy the benefits of Happy New Year offer for another year (till March 31, 2018) by paying a one time fee of Rs. 99, and monthly 304 under Jio's Prime Membership plan. The last date for enrollment is 31, March, 2017.

However, now it appears that Jio is thinking to extend the Prime registration deadline by another month. According to TeleAnalysis citing sources familiar with the matter, reports that, the Jio Prime Membership deadline may get extended till April 30, since Jio's ongiong Prime membership drive has received lukewarm response and the telecom operator did not get the expected results. Though a final decision is yet to be taken.

Jio has more than 100 million subscribers, and as per the report around 22-27 million users have enrolled for the Prime Membership program so far. Further it says that the company has achieved 50 percent of its target of Jio Prime users, but the exact number of subscribers, Jio is currently looking for its prime membership is not known.
