Xiaomi's '90 Minutes Ultra Smart Sportswear' shoes has Intel inside


Xiaomi has introduced a new pair of smart running shoes, under its Mijia brand, called '90 minutes Ultra Smart Sportswear' powered by an Intel Chip.

The 90 Minutes Ultra Smart Sportswear looks like your typical running shoes, but inside there's Intel Curie, the button sized chip, which is designed for wearable device. Thanks to the chip, the shoes gets the ability to monitor the wearers movement, track distance traveled, speed as well as calories burned and can store the fitness data in real time. The chip can last up to 60 days on a single charge.

The smart shoes uses a foam-like material for an extra comfort, and are anti-skid and feature arch support, heel-piece air cushion and an antibacterial removable insole.

The 90 minutes Ultra Smart Sportswear are available in Black and Surf Blue for men, and Black and Pink for women. It is priced at CNY 299 ($43 | Rs. 3,000) and will be available through Xiaomi's Mijia crowd funding platform in home market China. There's also a special blue edition which glows in the dark.
