Wearables have expanded beyond traditional product lines in the past few years, but that hasn’t stopped seemingly every tech manufacturer from contributing a device into the ever-growing pool of fitness trackers.

Options are usually a good thing for consumers, but when the market gets highly saturated, decisions are difficult — especially when there isn’t a clear, top choice. People can debate the merits of one product against another all day long, but choices often boil down to preference.

One person might favor better water-resistance over a color touchscreen, while someone else might value more features above an extended battery life. And because companies haven’t developed a mainstream, affordable device that fulfills all of our needs, people often have to compromise based on their taste.
