Honor 6 Play entry-level smartphone spotted on TENAA


Huawei's Honor brand is best know for its premium smartphones, but it also has budget devices as well. A new Honor smartphone carrying model number Honor MYA-AL10 believed to be the Honor 6 Play has been certified by China's TENAA revealing the specs sheet and the design.

According to the listing, the Honor 6 Play will come with entry-level specs, so it is safe to assume it will an affordable offering. The listing suggests that the device has built-in antenna, which indicate, it would be made from plastic and not metal. It's dimensions are 143.8 x 72 x 8.5mm and weighs 150g. The color options include gray, white, and gold.

In terms of specifications, the Honor 6 Play will have 5-inch HD TFT display, 1.4GHz quad-core Snapdragon 425 processor, 2GB RAM RAM and 16GB storage, which is expandable via microSD card. 

For photography, it will sport 8MP rear camera and 5MP selfie camera. It will support LED, pack a 2920mAh battery and ship with Android Marshmallow, which is disappointing considering that most of the new budget devices run Android Nougat out of the box.

The launch date of Honor 6 Play is not known, but since it has been certified by TENAA, an announcement can be expected soon.
