Possible Google Pixel XL 2 specs surfaces on GFXBench

Google will unveil its Pixel line up sometime later this year, and if reports are to be believed, there will be three Pixel devices this time: Pixel 2 (Walleye), Pixel XL 2 (muskie) and a bigger 6-inch Pixel codenamed Taimen. Now, possible specs of Pixel XL 2 has surfaced via GFXBench benchmark database.

As per the listing, the Pixel Xl 2 will have 5.6-inch QHD display bearing the resolution 2560 x 1312 pixels. Interestingly it appears that Pixel XL 2 will follow the footprints of LG's G6 and Samsung's Galaxy S8, and equip an 18:9 or 2:1 aspect ratio screen, instead of the common 16:9 ratio. This means that Pixel XL 2 will be capable of showing two apps in identically sized windows side-by-side.

The processor is very much expected, as Pixel XL 2 will be equipped with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 Mobile Platform backed by Adreno 540 GPU. The RAM and storage listed is 4GB RAM and 128GB storage, though a 32GB and 64GB storage variants can also be expected.

It will have 12MP rear camera, same as its predecessor, which was highest rated by DxOMark, however, Google could apply some tweaks and upgrade the sensor to enhance the photography experience further, same what Samsung did with Galaxy S8/S8+. Other specs are 8MP front camera, NFC and the device run through GFXBench runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat, but it should release with Android O on-board.

It's worth mentioning that the Pixel XL 2 passed through GFXBench is most likely to be a prototype, and the final specs could differ, so take these specs with a pinch of salt.
