Xiaomi India sells one million units of Redmi 4 in 30 days

Xiaomi launched the budget Redmi 4 smartphone in India last month starting at Rs. 6,999. During the first sale the company sold more than 250,000 units under eight minutes.

Today, the Chinese smartphone maker has announced that it sold over one million units of Redmi 4 in the country within 30 days of launch, breaking Redmi Note 4's record that took 45 days to achieve the feat.

The Redmi 4 was initially being sold exclusive on online channels like Mi.com and Amazon India, but has now hit the shelves of offline stores as well.

Just like Xiaomi's previous budget offerings, the Redmi 4 is also a low cost high performance device, and one of the best smartphone in the Rs. 7000 price segment.

The specs include 5-inch HD display, Snapdragon 435 processor, 13MP/5MP cameras, fingerprint scanner and 4100mAh battery. It is offered in three versions: 2GB RAM/16GB storage for Rs. 6,999, 3GB RAM/32GB storage for Rs. 8,999 and 4GB RAM/64GB storage for Rs. 10,999 in two color options, Gold and Black. This is the online price.

Norw that, Xiaomi does not sell the 4GB RAM version offline, while the prices of 2GB RAM and 3GB RAM are Rs. 7,499, and 9,499 respectively.
