Future Nokia smartphones will feature ZEISS optics

Multiple reports in the past suggested that Nokia's upcoming phones will sport Carl ZEISS optics, something that was absent in Nokia 3, 5 and 6. Now putting an end to the rumors, HMD Global, the home of Nokia phones, has announced an exclusive partnership with Carl Zeiss to use Zeiss optics in future Nokia smartphones. Both companies once again aim to set new standard-defining imaging capabilities within the smartphone industry.

ZEISS is a highly reputed optical systems and lenses maker. In the past, when Nokia dominated the handset market, it used ZEISS lens for  several smartphone photography innovations such as world's first multi-megapixel smartphone, and many more standard-setting devices, from the Nokia N series to Lumia line featuring Nokia PureView camera featuring Zeiss lens. 

Nokia's camera-centric handsets like the 41MP Nokia 808 PureView, Nokia N8 and Lumia 1020 used Carl Zeiss optics, and set benchmark in he smartphone industry.

The latest partnership with Zeiss is a proof that how HMD Global is collaborating with the best and most respected in the industry, as it attempts to revive Nokia brand that once dominated the handset industry.

Nokia is expected to launch a high-end premium flagship device by the end of this year, and it is most likely to feature Carl Zeiss optics.
