Xiaomi outs official photos of Mi 5X


Xiaomi just yesterday confirmed that it will be introducing its latest Mi smartphone, the Mi 5X on July 26 along with MIUI 9. Now ahead of the unveiling, Xiaomi has shared official photos of the Mi 5X on its website, that shows the phone's design and its color versions. The website also reveals that over 272,000 people have registered their interest for the Mi 5X.

As seen in the photo, the Xiaomi Mi 5X will sport an iPhone 7 Plus like premium design flaunting all-metal unibody design with the antenna bands placed on top and bottom edges of the back panel. It also has a dual-camera setup, and includes and rear mounted fingerprint scanner. 



Rumors point out that, the Mi 5X will feature 5.5-inch Full HD display, Snapdragon 625 processor, 4GB RAM, dual-cameras with optical zoom (Sony IMX386 sensor and a Samsung S5K3M3 CMOS sensor) and a 16MP selfie camera. There are also rumors of a second variant featuring Snapdragon 660 chip, 6GB RAM and 64GB storage.

Meanwhile, the Mi 5X has also reportedly received FCC certification, and the documents released reveals the battery side of things of the Mi 5X: 3,000mAh Li-Po power pack charged over a USB-C cable by a 10W adapter (5V @ 2A). This also confirms that the device will have USB Type-C port.

According to previous reports the Mi 5X will cost CNY 1999 ($295 | Rs. 19,000).
