Nokia 6 now receiving Android 7.1.2 Nougat

Nokia is rolling out a new software update to the mid-range Nokia 6 in the form of Android 7.1.2.

The update weighs in at 665MB, and brings along Android security patches for October. It also includes system stability improvements and UI enhancement.

As usual, the Android 7.1.2 update for Nokia 6 is rolling out over the air (OTA) in phases, so it will take a while to get wider reach. If you've not been notified about the update yet, you can check it manually by going to Settings>About Phone>System Update.

The next major upgrade Nokia 6 will receive is Android Oreo, which HMD has promised to release by end of this year. It is also confirmed to get Android P as well.

As a reminder, the Nokia 6 features 5.5-inch Full HD IPS Gorilla Glass display, Snapdragon 430 chip, 3GB RAM, 32GB of expandable storage, 16MP f/2.0 PDAF rear camera, 8MP f/2.0 84-degree wide-angle front camera, fingerprint scanner, 4G VoLTE, NFC and 3000mAh battery. It is available exclusively on Amazon India for Rs. 14,999.
