Airtel revises Rs 349, Rs 549 prepaid plans to offer 500MB extra data

Airtel has quietly revised the benefits of its Rs. 349 plan and Rs. 549 prepaid plans to offer additional 500MB more data to consumers.

The Rs. 349 plan was launched in September and originally offered 1GB data per day for 28 days along with unlimited STD/Local calls and 100 SMSes per day. In November Airtel increased the per day data limit to 1.5GB.

However, now the Rs. 349 plan will offer 2GB data per day for 28 days, bringing the total to 56GB data for the validity period. Additionally users will also get free outgoing calls on roaming with this plan now.

As for the Rs. 549 plan, it offered 2.5GB per day data limit till recently, but will now give customers 3GB data per day for 28 days for a total of 84GB data. During the period customers will also get unlimited local and STD calls and 100 SMSes, and free outgoing calls on roaming.

Airtel customers can recharge the revised Rs. 349 and Rs. 549 plans from Airtel's website or MyAirtel app. Do note that, the plans are still listed with the old data allocation, but when you add them to the cart, they will show data limits of 2GB and 3GB per day respectively.
