Android Oreo 8.0 Released For Nokia 5

HMD Global started rolling out Android 8.0 to the Nokia 6 yesterday and now Nokia 5 is getting the Oreo update too. HMD's Chief Product Officer Juho Sarvikas shared the news of the update on Twitter.

Just like the Nokia 6, beta testing of Oreo for the Nokia 5 began last month. HMD has promised Android updates for two years for both the Nokia 5 and Nokia 6. In fact, HMD has already confirmed Android P for the two smartphones.

If you own a Nokia 5, you will be getting a notification of the update soon. Beta testers will be getting the stable update too. You can also check for the update manually by heading over to Settings > About phone > System updates.
