Google combines its different payment platform into one service called Google Pay

Google is bringing all of its payment-related services under one roof to make things simpler. The search giant is combining Android Pay and Google Wallet into a unified service called Google Pay.

To remind you Google Wallet is a peer-to-peer payment service while Android Pay is a mobile payment system. Combining the services will make the payment process via Google less confusing.

With Google Pay you can use the payment information saved to your Google account across Google Products including Play Store, Chrome for web purchases, YouTube for renewing your subscriptions, in apps on Android for in app-purchases and retail outlets that support NFC payments. Google also mentioned that these experiences will come to India-exclusive Tez app as well.

Google Pay is already available on Airbnb, Dice, Fandango, HungryHouse, Instacart, and other apps and websites in the U.S. As part of promotional offer, Google is offering discounts when you use Google Pay to buy products from B&H, Fandango and Instacart.
