Android Nougat "7.1" Can Be The Next Maintenance Release

With Nougat 7.0 now in hands for Nexus and some Android One users, its about to be a little more of surprise that Google is now on a different approach again with Maintenance Releases in the form of further Developer Previews at first and then a regular one.

This Maintenance Release thing is official as the source to it goes with Android Developers Blog and according to that post the next release in already under development and we are now having the hint that the next release will jump directly to Android 7.1 and not any other version like 7.0.1 which had happened with Marshmallow (6.0.1).

The above image lands from the Google's crash and report filter in the developer console which shows Android 7.1 already and what could be more confirming than this? Well, this year's fall will tell what is it going to be as Google has said that the release should be expected at that time. What's more to this is that 7.1 stable release could land with New Nexus couple which will make it more in limelight, but this is a rumor only and not to be believed instantly.
