HP Falcon based on Windows 10 Mobile will be called Elite x3

The Falcon is a mysterious Windows 10 powered device from HP that surfaced in an AdDuplex report and GFXBench website. Now @evleaks claims that the device is named HP Elite x3.

The leaked benchmarks results revealed that the HP Falcon (Elite x3) will have a 5.8-inch 2560 x 1440 display, while AdDuplex revealed it to have a 5.3-inch 768 x 1024 display, so it not clear what exactly the screen size is. The results also reveal that the device will be equipped with Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 820 SoC with Adreno 530GPU, 2GB RAM, 64GB internal storage, 20MP rear camera and 12MP front camera.

However, the information on benchmarking websites can be easily faked and is not necessarily reliable, so take it with a pinch of salt. Said that, the Falcon (Elite x3) could utilize the Snapdragon 820 SoC, and since its is equipped with the SD-820 SoC, the Continuum for mobile feature will definitely work with this device.

@evleaks did not share any image of the Falcon (Elite x3) but noted that the device looked "pretty smart" but had an "odd pattern of speaker grille holes". Interestingly the HP Elite x2 was a 2-in-1 tablet built of magnesium alloy. For reference, the last Windows based smartphone from HP was the iPAQ Glisten, running Windows Mobile 6.5 launched in 2009.

MWC 2016, is right around the corner, so we can expect HP to introduce the Elite x3 at the event, that begins February 21.
