Samsung Galaxy A5, A7 2016 editions launched for India; will be available from February 15

Samsung had announced the Galaxy A5, A7 and A3 2016 edition smartphones in December last year. Now the South Korean tech giant at its Samsung Forum event in Kuala Lumpur, announced the launch of Galaxy A5 (2016) and Galaxy A7 (2016) for India.

The Samsung Galaxy A5 (2016) and Galaxy A7 (2016) will be priced at Rs. 29,400 and Rs. 33,400 and will be available in the country starting February 15 via Snapdeal and offline retailers.

Just like their predecessors, the Galaxy A5 (2016) and A7 (2016) sport premium metal body with glass build and are also equipped with fingerprint sensor. They also get an improved camera with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) to prevent image blurring, and the front and rear F1.9 lens which promise better low-light photography. The rear camera is 13-megapixel, while the front snapper is 5-megapixel.

The Samsung Galaxy A5 (2016) comes with 5.2-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display, 2GB RAM and 2900mAh battery. The Galaxy A7 (2016) has 5.5-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display, and packs 3GB RAM and 3300mAh battery. Both are equipped with 1.6GHz Exynos 7 Octa processor and has 16GB storage capacity, which can be increased via microSD card. They also support 4G LTE, NFC connectivity, fast charging and run Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box.
