Micromax Back With More and More Stuff

With its 'Guts To Change' event on Wednesday, Micromax has showcased a total of 19 products out of which 15 are the smartphones. However these were only showcased but the new member of Canvas family called Canvas 6 and Canvas 6 Pro were launched alongside.
Canvas 6
Canvas 6 is the first smartphone from the company to feature Metal Body and Fingerprint Sensor
Specs -
  • 5.5 Inch Full HD Display
  • 64 Bit MediaTek  MT6795m SoC, Tru Octa Core 2.0 GHz Processor
  • 3Gb Ram
  • 32GB Internal Storage
  • 13/8 Mp Cameras
  • Android 5.1
  • 3000 Mah Battery
  • Fingerprint Scanner
Canvas 6 Pro
Canvas 6 Pro goes with similar specs but with some major and kind of funnier changes assumed to its name.
Specs-
  • 5.5 Inch Full HD Display
  • 64 Bit MediaTek Helio MT6795m SoC, Tru Octa Core 2.0 GHz Processor
  • 4Gb Ram
  • 16GB Internal Storage
  • 13/5 Mp Cameras
  • Android 5.1
  • 3000 Mah Battery
Both Phones are priced at Rs.13999 but the changes you can see is that Canvas 6 Pro has greater RAM but less INTERNAL STORAGE and CAMERA PIXELS than Canvas 6 and thing to be noticed is the Fingerprint Scanner that is only available with Canvas 6 but not with the Pro variant. Its a confusing strategy to consumers as if to go with looks, Pro clearly wins. Well, Let's see how this performs with the market.

Other things announced today are more smartphones, Yes there are more of it as total of 15 devices are showcased that includes Micromax Canvas Bolt Supreme, Bolt Supreme 2, Bolt Q381, Spark 2+, Evok, Mega 2, Unite 4.

Thats not the whole thing, Another big change is the new face of the company that means a new logo and a new tagline.
New Logo
The new logo has not much changed but changes are always welcomed, the new tagline is 'Nuts:Guts:Glory' which has replaced the viral tagline 'Nothing Like Anything' which was also grammatically wrong.

The event was big enough so there's another announcement from the company, it has invested in 3 new manufacturing units to boost up domestic production and stress less on imports, the company speculated at setting up manufacturing units in Telangana, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan by 2017.

Left 4 Products other than 15 smartphones includes a new Smartwatch, Televisions and Tablets as well. Overall it was a big day for the company as it is seen struggling in 2015, the new range of devices are set to boost sales as the company speaks.
