Samsung Galaxy Note 4 gets Android Marshmallow in India


The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 has started receiving Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update in India. The update is being rolled out over-the-air (OTA) and the download size is 1.4GB. Make sure you're connected to a WiFi network before you start downloading the update

In addition to Android 6.0.1 Marshallow features including Doze Mode, app permissions and more, the update also includes Android security patch for February.

  • Quick connect helps you easily find and connect to nearby devices by showing currently connected devices and previous connections.
  • Advanced power saving mode restricts background data and extends battery life.
  • A new Vibration pattern concept has been applied.
  • Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow does not support the Decrypt device function. If your mobile is encrypted, encryption cannot be disabled after upgrading
  • If the Samsung Gear or Gear Fit Manager app does not work normally after this upgrade, uninstall the app, then install the latest version.
Samsung has already rolled to the Android Marshmallow update to Galaxy Note5, Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 edge+ and Galaxy S6 edge.
