Samsung Galaxy Note 6 to reportedly come with USB Type-C, 256GB storage, 4200mAh battery

Samsung's upcoming phablet Galaxy Note6's feature and specification related leaks have surfaced a couple of times and now rumor mill as usual has spilled out more.

First up, according to a report from SamMobile, the Galaxy Note6 will have USB Type-C port replacing the microUSB port. Currently it is not know if it will be USB 3.1 that supports HDMI or and older standard.

It is also being speculated that Samsung will release a new Gear VR headset. The current model of Gear VR comes with microUSB port, and considering that the Galaxy Note6 will have USB Type-C port, the VR headset could also have the same.

Meanwhile, a rumor coming out of China suggests that Galaxy Note6 will pack 256GB internal storage and a massive 4200mAh battery, as compared to 3000mAh found on the Galaxy Note5. It will sport a 5.8-inch Quad HD (2K) display and will come in two variants, one with curved display that will use 'edge' moniker and the other will have a plain ordinary screen.

The Galaxy Note 6 is also rumored to be powered by Snapdragon 823 SoC, an upgraded variant of Snapdragon 820 SoC. There could also be an Exynos powered variant as well, targeted at Asian market. It will pack a massive 6GB RAM, which has been already utilized by various Chinese smartphone maker including Xiaomi, Huawei, Meizu, vivo, Vernee and others on their flagship products. And just like Galaxy S7/S7 edge, the Galaxy Note 6 will be dust and water resistant.

The camera specs were not mentioned in the leak, but earlier rumors claim that the Galaxy Note 6 will get a 12-megapixel Dual Pixel camera, the same used in Galaxy S7 and S7 edge. The Galaxy Note6, which is internally referred as Grace is expected to launch in July or August.
