Google Allo Hits 5 Million Downloads On The Play Store, Hindi Support Coming Soon

Just a week after hitting the Store on September 21, Google Allo has crossed the 5 million downloads mark.

Meanwhile, Allo has slipped from the top spot to the eighth place today in Google's Top Charts, all in a matter of just five days.

Celebrating the same, Justin Uberti, Technical Lead and Co Lead for Duo and Allo respectively, tweeted
The numbers are pretty similar for Allo's sister app Duo as well. Duo crossed the five million mark just 7 days after it's launch. On the other hand, it gained the top spot in Google's Top Charts just within a span of two days. Duo currently sits at the eighteenth position in Google's rankings.

Google has also announced that it is making the Google Assistant inside Allo learn India's mother tongue language Hindi as well. Allo with support for the Hindi language support will be rolling out by the end of this year. The search giant has also announced that Allo's Smart Reply feature will be supported in Hindi language as well and that Google Assistant will be making it's way soon to other Google apps as well.
