HP announces refreshed ProBook 400 series business laptop starting at $499


HP has refreshed it ProBook 400 line up of business laptop with five new G4 models featuring Intel's Kaby Lake processor, Windows 10 and improved battery life. These include ProBook 430, ProBook 440, ProBook 450, ProBook 455 and ProBook 470.

Since the laptops are targeted at business, they have passed MIL-STD 810G testing including drop, shock, vibration, dust and temperature, plus 120,000 hours of HP’s own testing and end-to-end diagnostics.

All the new ProBook G4 series laptops are powered by 7th gen Intel Core (i3, i5, i7) processor and 7th gen A-Series APUs from AMD and offer up to 16 hours of battery life. Some of these models can be configured with Full HD (1080p) touch screen options and  NVIDIA's GeForce 930MX graphics 

Configurations and pricing 

HP ProBook 430 G4, starting at US $599, comes with a choice of 7th Generation Intel Core processors and includes a 13.3” diagonal HD display (FHD and touchscreen optional), flexible internal storage options and maximum memory of 16GB DDR4-2133 SDRAM. Base configuration weighs 3.28 lbs. (1.49 kg.) 

HP ProBook 440 G4, starting at US $529, comes with a choice of 7th Generation Intel Core processors and includes a 14” diagonal HD display (FHD and touchscreen optional), flexible internal storage options and maximum memory of 16GB DDR4-2133 SDRAM. Base configuration weighs 3.61 lbs. (1.64 kg) 

HP ProBook 450 G4, starting at US $599, comes with a choice of 7th Generation Intel Core processors and includes a 15.6” diagonal HD display (FHD and optional touchscreen), flexible internal storage options and maximum memory of 16GB DDR4-2133 SDRAM. Base model weighs 4.49 lbs. (2.04 kg.) 

HP ProBook 455 G4, starting at US $499, comes with a choice of 7th Generation AMD A-Series APUs and includes a 15.6 diagonal HD display (FHD optional), flexible internal storage options and maximum memory of 16GB DDR4-2133 SDRAM. Base model weighs 4.58 lbs. (2.08 kg.) 

HP ProBook 470 G4, starting at US $749, comes with a choice of 7th Generation Intel Core processors and includes a 17.3” diagonal HD+ display (FHD optional), flexible internal storage options and maximum memory of 16GB DDR4-2133 SDRAM. Base configuration weighs 5.79 lbs. (2.63 kg.)
