Google Publishes Factory Images, OTAs & Binaries For The Pixel & Pixel XL

After bringing the Nexus brand to an end and after multiple reports stating that the Pixel & Pixel XL from Verizon will come with unlockable bootloaders emerged, many of us were left wondering as to how Google intends to pacify the demands of an Android enthusiast who likes to modify their device as per their wish through the means of rooting and flashing ROMs. We had earlier talked about the concept of "images" and how the Nexus devices were considered as "developer" devices or devices meant for an Android enthusiast.

It now seems as if Google aims to shoot down multiple targets through one arrow, that is, Pixel, the targets being a phone which belongs to the premium segment (such as the iPhone) and one which an "Android enthusiast" can modify to their will. We had explored multiple reasons why Google is introducing a new smartphone brand here.

There are three factory and OTA images currently available: NDE63H, NDE63L, and NDE63P.  Verizon had announced that the NDE63P build will improve Wi-Fi connectivity and it will be rolled out in the form of an OTA to the Pixel device users. The OTA rollout is scheduled to begin on the launch day itself. Some users are still experiencing 2.4/5GHz switching issues on the NDE63P build as well.

We have summarised the download links of the factory images, OTA images and driver binaries for the Google Pixel and Google Pixel XL below:
