LG U with Nexus 5x-like design, 13MP camera, 3000mAh battery announced


LG has announced a new smartphone dubbed LG U in home market of South Kore exclusively for local operator LG U +. Interestingly the LG U looks similar to Google's Nexus 5X, which was manufactured by LG, but the rear camera has been repositioned from center to top left and there is no fingerprint scanner.

The LG U has a 5.2-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels IPS display and is powered by 1.14GHz octa-core processor with 2GB RAM and 32GB inbuilt storage, with storage expansion support via microSD card.

It gets 13MP rear camera with an LED flash and 8MP front camera. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS. It is fueled by a 3000mAh battery and runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The Phone has a glossy unibody finish that comes in white, black or pink colors,  measures 7.7mm thick around the waist and weigh 135g.

The LG U is priced at 396,000 Korean Won ($346 | Rs. 23,000) and will be available in Korea from October 31.
