Ola and Uber Makes Way To Google Search In India

Ola and Uber which are known to create buzz from time to time in various countries are now again in news. Google India today announced that people will be able to redirect to the app from the search results like Directions to place and Taxi to place. People will now see a dedicated tab below the search result and that will get them directly into the app being it the user's choice between the two cab services.

This feature although being there in the Maps can provide enough help to users as this search result thing can decrease their efforts in booking and checking. Not to mention these cab services are now being widely used in metro cities so this is a great move by Google India.

From the image above it's very good to see that Pickup Time and Fares have also been incorporated which helps in choosing quickly.

Choosing the best transit option can be a task at times, our aim is to help users simplify their everyday travel. With this, users will be able to order, explore and make quick comparisons about the best estimated taxi fare directly from Google Search results on their mobile.  - Sanket Gupta, Program Manager, Google

Yes, its for mobile only (just in case if it arises as a question). Another thing to know about this search result is that if the app of these cab services are installed in your phone then it will take you to the app directly from that tab. If not, links to install the app can be found at the same place.
