Samsung India offers Galaxy S7/S7 edge with freebies for customers who pre-booked Note7

In case you've been living under the rock, Samsung has permanently discontinued the Galaxy Note7 due to battery issue which caused overheating and catching fire.

Samsung had opened pre-booking for the Galaxy Note7 in India in the last week of August and was supposed to go on sale in India on September 2, but was delayed due to the incident. Now to compensate those who have pre-booked the Note7, Samsung has made an announcement urging them to buy Galaxy S7/S7 edge.

The company also announced that customers who pre-ordered the Galaxy Note7 can still get the freebies bundled with the device: the Gear VR and Samsung's Level U Stereo Wireless, if they buy a Galaxy 7 or Galaxy S7 edge.

Samsung will also offer Rs. 3,000 ($50) worth Oculus content voucer, and is also offering one time screen replacement for a period of 12 months from the date of activation.

To avail the offer, customers need to visit the store or online portal from where they pre-booked the Galaxy Note7. In case the customer wish to get a refund, they can contact the store/online portal to get back the pre-booking amount.
