LG G6 prototype poses for camera, reveals very slim bezels

The LG G6 will break cover on February 26 at MWC in Barcelona next month. We have already seen CAD-based render, partial render of the G6, and now live images, which is said to be prototype of the G6 have surfaced, giving us an idea about its design. The image comes courtesy of Droid-Life.

As seen in the image the LG G6 will have metal frame, and screen-to-body ratio shows very thin bezels. The G6 is expected to come with metal and glass design, but the prototype seen in the image has a different back panel, because this is a testing device and not final product.

At the back of G6, there's the dual-camera setup, alongside the fingerprint scanner. One the bottom, we can see the USB Type-C port, microphone and a single speaker. The 3.5mm audio jack is not seen, but it is likely to be present on the top panel.

LG has already confirmed that the G6 will feature 5.7-inch QHD (1440 x 2880 pixels) display, and the pixel density is 564ppi, while the aspect ratio is 18:9, to increase the screen occupancy. The company will also apply heat pipes to improve heat radiation efficiency, to ensure safety. The flagship will also be waterproof and come with an artificial assistance called Remote AS.

According to reports, the chip used in LG G6 will be Qualcomm's Snapdragon 821, as Samsung has fully claimed the initial supply of Snapdragon 835 chip. Other rumored features include non-removable battery and Google Assistant integration. There is no doubt the G6 will ship with Android Nougat.

Lots is riding on the G6, for LG after the failure of G5. The use of Snapdragon 821 instead of Snapdragon 835 in 2017 flagship will be a drawback, but with a bigger display boasting slim-bezel design, improved camera and a cheaper price tag will just do fine for the company, to atleast make a mark.
