Huawei Y7 announced with Android Nougat and 4000mAh battery

After the Y3 (2017) and Y5 (2017), Huawei has introduced yet another budget friendly and mid-range smartphone, the Y7. Unlike Y3 and Y5 2017, the new Y7 runs the latest EMUI 5.1 based Android Nougat software. The specs are also slightly better, when compared to the other two Y series devices.

Design-wise, it sports a metal body with plastic frame. The front side is covered by 2.5D glass, while the back side has a sandblasted surface.

The Huawei Y7 features 5.5-inch HD display and is powered by 1.4GHz octa-core Snapdragon 435 processor with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage, which can be expanded via microSD card.

For photography, it gets 12MP PDAF rear camera with LED flash and 1.25 μm pixel sensor, and 8MP selfie camera. Connectivity options include dual-SIM support, 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. It is fueled by a beefy 4000mAh battery, which is rated to deliver up to 20 hours of video playback or up to 15 hours of web browsing. There's also a fingerprint scanner at the back.

Huawei is yet to reveal the pricing and availability details, but it will be released in Europe first, and will come in Grey, Prestige Gold and Silver color.
