Google's Play Protect rolling out to all Android devices

Google at its I/O conference in May introduced Play Protect feature to improve security of Android devices. Now, the search-giant has started rolling out the feature to all Android devices running Play Services 11 or above.

The Play Protect service safeguards your devices against malware. It can automatically scans the apps from the Play Store which are installed on your device, to check if there is any suspicious or malicious activity and ensure they don't compromise important data on your smartphone.

You can even manually start a scan to check for suspicious apps. If it finds any abnormal app behavior, it will block that app and remove it from the device.

The Play Protect feature is being rolled out in phases, so it will take some time for the feature to be added to all Android devices. To check if your device has received Play Protect feature go to Settings -> Google -> Security -> Verify Apps.
