HTC Posts Kernel Source Code For The One A9 & HTC 10

HTC has released the Nougat 7.0 based kernel source codes for various models of the One A9 and HTC 10. Both the devices were updated to Android 7.0 in the beginning of the year, with the unlocked models of the HTC 10 in the US getting the update in November last year.

The kernel source code has been published for various carrier locked, unlocked and region-specific models of the devices. A complete list of the models for which the kernel source code has been released can be found in the snapshot below.

Kernel source codes are used by developers to make custom ROMs, kernels and for compiling custom recoveries (like TWRP). Currently a lot of Nougat based ROMs are available for the HTC 10, while the development for the One A9 is yet to pick up. While official builds of TWRP are available for the One A9, we couldn't find any custom ROM for the device on its XDA forum. The release of the kernel source codes should help in increasing the development for both the devices. If you are a developer, you can find the source codes in the source linked below.
