CypherOS Updated To v6.0.0 With New Theming Options, Animations, Design Revamps & More

CypherOS v6.0.0 has been in beta for a while now, and today the ROM finally hit stable. This release of CypherOS is named after the French dessert Parfait and focuses on getting the basics right. Talking about the new update, a moderator on the CypherOS Google+ community wrote:

A few months back, we weren't satisfied with the level of quality and polish in our releases, so we took the time to redo our entire project from scratch with new and intuitive design policies. Our hard work has paid off and we've recreated what makes AOSCP (also known as CypherOS) special.

To improve the quality of the ROM, the CypherOS team has rewritten a lot of code. Ambient Play, one of CypherOS's original and most popular feature, has been redone from scratch to make it more accurate and power efficient. Another acclaimed feature in CypherOS is that of Ambient Weather, and it, too, is getting a big update. The refreshed Ambient Weather is still being worked upon and will be added in the next update.

One of the reasons I love custom ROMs is because of the multiple theming options I get to customize the looks of the user interface to my taste. AOSCP provides theming capabilities to its users through Color Manager. The theming engine makes use of OMS and allows users to change the background and accent color of the SystemUI and the AOSP keyboard. Color Manager has received many improvements with this update.

Luna Launcher, the stock launcher in AOSCP, has also received several new theming options and fixes. The black theme now works flawlessly across the launcher and there are new options for disabling the transparency of the app drawer and changing the color of the search bar.

Aside from the number of theming options, this update of CypherOS also brings several design changes. The design of the System Update manager has been revamped and users will now find it easier to search for the updates for their device. There is also a new boot animation and several new animations.
