Images Of Entry-Level Samsung Galaxy J1 Smartphone Leaked

Samsung is gearing up to launch an all-new mid-range entry level 'J' series of smartphones. The first phone from the J series - J1 has been leaked in Images which looks like a promotional leaflet. Last year, the handset was spotted in the pages of Russian distributor Merlion along with its specs and even passed through GFX Benchmark site.

Coming to the Images, the Galaxy J1 resemble the Galaxy Alpha which is made up of metal. The J1 will be made up of plastic as it is low cost device. The two cameras and the Ultra Power Saving Mode feature of the handset is being shown off in the Images.
The Galaxy J1 features a 4.3-inch display and is powered by 64-bit Marvell PXA1908 SoC with a 1.2 GHz quad-core CPU coupled with 1GB RAM and 4GB inbuilt storage [microSD card support]. It runs Android 4.4 KitKat. Other features include 5-megapixel rear camera with flash and 2-megapixel front facing camera, 3G, 4G LTE and 1850mAh battery with Ultra Power Saving Mode.

The Samsung J1 will come in four variants - LTE, 3G, dual-SIM LTE, and dual-SIM 3G. For the 3G versions the front camera will be downgraded to a VGA unit. It is expected to launch in the coming days.
