Xiaomi announces 'Global Mi phone premiere' in India on April 23

Xiaomi has announced that it will be hosting a Global Mi Phone Premiere event  in New Delhi, India on April 23. This is the first time Xiaomi has scheduled a launch Global launch event in India.

The announcement was made via Xiaomi's Twitter and Facebook account which read "i IS COMING. Register for our global Mi phone premiere in New Delhi on 23 April."

There are no details on which smartphone will make its debut at the event. The company has mentioned 'Global Mi Phone Premier' which indicates a new Xiaomi smartphone will make its debut.

Xiaomi's  CEO & Founder Lei Jun, President & Co-Founder Bin Lin and VP Xiaomi Global Hugo Barra will be present at the event.  

Registrations for the event have already started in Mi's official India website. You will have to fill in your personal details and answer some question about Xiaomi devices. Xiaomi is also giving away  privileged access to the premiere and an exclusive session with Hugo Barra to 10 Mi fans. Their names will be announced on April 16.

The event is scheduled for April 23 at 2:30pm at Siri Fort Auditorium Complex, Asiad Village Complex, New Delhi. Incidentally even ASUS is launching the ZenFone 2 in New Delhi on the same day.
