Coolpad Dazen 1 launched in India for Rs. 6,999

Along with the Dazen X7, Coolpad also launched a budget smartphone dubbed Dazen 1 for the Indian market. The Dazen 1 is priced at Rs. 6,999 and will be sold exclusively via Snapdeal. Coolpad has opted for the flash sale model to sell the Dazen 1. The registrations for the flash sale has already started and the sale is on June 9.

Coolpad's Dazen 1 features 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display and is powered by 64-bit 1.2GHz Quad-core Snapdragon 410 (MSM8916 processor) paired with Adreno 306 GPU and 2GB RAM. The Dazen 1 comes with 8GB of inbuilt storage and microSD card slot for storage expansion (up to 32GB supported). It runs Android 4.4 KitKat with Cool UI 6 on top.

Camera features include 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, F/2.2 aperture and 5-megapixel front facing camera. On the connectivity front it supports 4G LTE, 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and dual-SIM. A 2500mAh battery will run the show on Dazen 1 which is rated to deliver up to 3 hours of talk time and up to 200 hours of standby time. It measures 141 x 71.5 x 9.3mm, weighs 155 grams and comes in Moondust Grey and Baby snow white colors.

At this price point (Rs. 6,999) Dazen 1 will receive stiff competition from Yu Yuphoria, Micromax Canvas Spark and Xiaomi's Redmi 2s.
