Mstar S700 Pro to pack Snapdragon 820 SoC, 4GB RAM, fingerprint sensor and USB-Type C port, coming in October


Mstar is just another Chinese smartphone brand, know for making low priced phones. The company is reported to break this cover and test its luck with a high-end device. Dubbed Mstar S700 Pro, its is expected to run on the unannounced 64-bit Snapdragon 820 processor.

For those who don't know Mstar was formed back in February 2015 and is a sub-brand of Hong Kong based LIHUA Group, a leading supplier of wireless communications products in the global market.  The company has its factor in the world's largest manufacturing base, Shenzen in China.

Coming to the specs, not much is known about the Snapdragon 820 other than it packs quad-core SoC with 14nm 64-bit architecture, clocked at 3.0GHz, paired with the new Adreno 530 GPU.

Other power packed features of the Mstar S700 Pro include 5.5-inch QHD (2560 x 1440 pixels) display with 2.5D glass on top which will be reinforced with Corning Gorilla Class 3 protection, 4GB RAM, 32GB internal storage, 21-megpixel rear camera with Sony Exmor RS Sensor IMX230,  11-megapixel front facing shooter with OmniVision sensor, 3500mAh battery, USB Type-C port, fingerprint scanner and Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.

The Mstar S700 Pro will be priced around $480 and is expected to go official in October.
