Samsung Galaxy S7 to have a pressure sensitive screen

According to a report published by the Wall Street Journal suggests that Samsung's 2016 flagship, the Galaxy S7 will boast a pressure-sensitive screen, similar to the one found in Apple's later iPhone 6s. The report further states that the Galaxy S7 will feature few important upgrades over the Galaxy S6.

The pressure sensitive screen will work similar to Apple's 3D touch in the new iPhones. The responsive screen will allow the device to interpret differesnt touches and taps, based on how hard the user presses on the display.

Samsung's next flagship will house a fast charging USB Type-C port which, much like the OnePlus 2, Google's Nexus 5X, 6P and Microsoft's Lumia 950 and 950 XL. This feature would allow for a full battery charge in under 30 minutes. The phone is also expected to come in four variants and all of them will feature a finger print scanner, with one of these variants boasting a retina scanner.

In addition the the regular S7 model, there will be a S7 edge, just like the S6 edge, with both sides curved. The non-curved Galaxy S7 will feature a memory card slot, which was absent in 2015 flagships. Lastly, the report adds that the Galaxy S7 will offer improved camera, optimized for low-light photography.

The Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 edge are expected to be unveiled around late February or early March, possibly the Mobile World Congress 2016 in Barcelona.
