ZTE Axon Max with 6-inch display, SD-617 announced

ZTE has introduced it's new Axon series smartphone, the Axon Max in China. The phone sports an aircraft-grade aluminum-titanium alloy body and measures 7.55 around the waist.

The ZTE Axon Max features a 6-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) AMOLED display with 2.5D curved glass and is powered by an 1.5GHz octa-core Snapdragon 617 64-bit processor with Adreno 405 GPU, 3GB RAM and 32GB strorage, further expandable via microSD card up to 128GB. It runs Android 5.1 Lollipop with MiFavor 3.5 UI on top and has Hybrid Dual SIM slot (micro SIM + nano SIM or microSIM + microSD). 

For photography, it sports 16-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, f/1.9 aperture and Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF) for quick focus in just 0.1 seconds. For clicking selfies you get 13-megapixel front shooter. Below the rear camera there is a fingerprint sensor to unlock the device. 

On the connectivity front, it supports 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 with A2DP, GPS and USB Type-C reversible port. It is fueled by 4140mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 that lets you charge the phone from 0 to 60% in just 30 minutes.

Priced at CNY 2799 ($430 | Rs. 28,500), the ZTE Axon Max comes in Golden color and is available for order in China. It will go on sale later this month. There is no word on global availability.
