Samsung Galaxy S6, S6 edge, S6 edge+ starts receiving Android Marshmallow update in India


Samsung has started rolling out Android 6.0 Marshmallow update to Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 edge and Galaxy S6 edge+ in India. The update is rolling out over-the-air (OTA) and weighs in at 1.2GB.

The Marshmallow update for the aforementioned devices, bring features such as Google Now on Tap, advanced app permissions, Doze, updated interface, new Samsung browser, cross-app functionality, ability to disable fast charging and easy access to quick toggles.

If you've not been notified about the update you can head to Settings > About device < Software update to see if the update is available to your Galaxy S6, S6 edge or S6 edge+ unit. Make sure you're connected to a WiFi network to download the update.

In related, the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge is now available for purchase in India. You can buy either from Samsung's online store or Flipkart as well as local stores.
