Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air Windows 10 laptop is now official

In addition to Redmi Pro, Xiaomi at its event in China also announced its first Windows 10 laptop, the Mi Notebook Air, which looks suspiciously like the MacBook Air. Similar to MacBook Air, the Mi Notebook Air sports a brushed aluminum body and 13.3-inch display, but is 13 percent slimmer at 14.8mm and 11 percent smaller. Xiaomi also introduced a 12.5-inch model of the Mi Notebook Air as well.

The 13.3-inch model flaunts a Full HD (1080p) screen with edge-to-edge glass protection and is powered by sixth generation 2.7GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 processor aided by 8GB DDR4 RAM and NVIDIA GeForce 940MX 1GB GDDR5 graphics card. It comes with 256GB SSD storage and also houses SSD expansion slot. It include 1MP HD webcam, 2 x USB 3.0 ports, a full size HDMI port, a USB Type-C port and 3.5mm jack. It is rated to deliver up to 9.5 hours of battery like and charges up to 50 percent in just 30 minutes.

The 12.5-inch Mi Notebook Air has Full HD display, Intel Core m3 processor, 4GB RAM, 128GB SSD, SSD expansion slot and can deliver up to 11.5 hours of battery life. It measure 12.9mm around the waist and weighs 1.07kg. It also houses 2 x USB 3.0 ports, HDMI port and USB Type-C port.

The Mi Notebook Air laptops comes with full sized keyboard with backlit keys and trackpad. They come with AKG custom dual speakers and supports Dolby Digital surround sound. The laptops can be unlocked with the Mi Band 2 wearable via Bluetooth 4.1, and comes with Mi Cloud Sync, that syncs your phone's contacts, messages and other data.

The Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air 12.5-inch model is priced at CNY 3499 ($524 | Rs. 35,000), while the 13.3-inch model is priced CNY 4999 ($750 | Rs. 50,000), and will go on sale in China from August 2. It comes in Gold and Silver colors.
