Asus ZenPad 3 8.0 tablet with Snapdragon 650 SoC, 4GB RAM, USB Type-C announced


Asus and Verizon Wireless introduced the 7.9 ZenPad Z8 tablet in June in the U.S. Now Asus has unveiled a non-Verizon model of the tablet for global market dubbed ZenPad 3 8.0.

The specifications are similar to the Verizon variant, but the global variant will be offered with 4GB RAM and 32GB storage option as well, in addition to 2GB RAM/16GB storage model

As for the other specs, the ZenPad 3 8.0 comes with 7.9-inch QXGA (2048 x 1536 pixels) IPS display and is powered by hexa-core Snapdragon 650 processor further aided by Adreno 510 GPU. There's microSD card slot for storage expansion. For photography there's  8-megapixel rear camera and 2-megapixel front facing camera. Connectivity duties are handled by 4G LTE (via SIM slot), WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and USB Type-C. It is fueled by 4680mAh battery.

Currently the pricing and availability details are not known.
