Alcatel announces 6-inch XL phablet and 7-inch, 10-inch POP 4 tablets


In addition to the 5.5-inch SHINE LITE smartphone, Alcatel at IFA 2016 also unveiled a smartphone and two new tablets. These include the Alcatel Pop 4 tablet which comes in two different sizes – POP 4 (7), POP 4 (10) and Alcatel XL smartphone. All three tablets sports premium metallic design and run Android Marshmallow.

The Alcatel POP 4 (7) has a 7-inch display and is powered by octa-core Snapdragon 430 processor, while the POP 4 (10) features 10-inch display and quad-core MediaTek MT8735 processor. Both tablets will support CAT 4 4G LTE and include Maxx Audio by Waves in order to optimize their audio quality. Alcatel did not reveal any other specs.

The Alcatel XL smartphone comes with a 6-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) 2.5D curved glass display and is powered by octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 processor. It features 13-megapixel rear camera with dual-LED flash and 5-megapixel front facing camera. Other features include fingerprint scanner at the back, Maxx Audio, CAT 6 4G LTE and a 3500mAh battery. The RAM and storage details are not known.

As for availability, the POP 4 (7), POP 4 (10) and Aclatel XL will be available in Middle East, Asia and Europe starting from mid-October. There's no information regarding the prices.
