Moto Z series, Moto G4, Moto G4 Plus to get Android Nougat in Q4 2016

HTC and Sony has already confirmed which of its devices will get Android 7.0 Nougat. Now it's Motorola turn to reveal the devices that will get the latest Android treat.

The Lenovo owned company has confirmed that the Moto Z line up, Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus will get Android Nougat update starting from Q4 2016, which is between October and November. As usual, the company has not revealed the exact time frame for the roll out.

• Moto G4 Plus

There's is no word yet on Android Nougat update for Moto's new smartphones: Moto G4 Play and Moto E3 Power, but it is likely to get Nougat in near future. As for old Moto phones in the Moto X and Moto G series (2015 edition), the company says it will share upgrade plans later. Meanwhile, you can also head to the Motorola's software update page to know about the upgrade for your phone.

Just a quick reminder, Moto India will launch the Moto Z series (Moto Z, Moto Z Force, Moto Z Play) along with Moto Mods in India on October 4. However, at this point it is not known which Moto Z devices will land in the country.
