Samsung refreshes Galaxy TabPro S Windows 10 tablet with 8GB RAM and gold finish


Samsung unveiled the Galaxy TabPro S 2-in-1 Windows 10 12-inch tablet back in January with 4GB RAM, to compete with Microsoft's Surface Pro 4 and Apple's 13.3-inch iPad Pro.

Now Samsung is upgrading the Galaxy TabPro S with double RAM and a new slim and premium design with gold finish and is calling it Galaxy TabPro S Gold Edition.

The Galaxy Tab Pro S Gold Edition comes with 8GB RAM and only a single storage option of 256GB SSD. The rest of specs, remain the same including 12.2-inch (2160 x 1440 pixels) Super AMOLED display, 2.2GHz Intel Core M3 processor and 5MP front and rear camera each.

It has an HDMI port, a USB-A port for peripherals and one USB-C port for charging.The tablet is backed by 5200mAh battery which is rated to deliver 10.5 hours of usage. It also supports fast charging, which charges the device fully in just 2.5 hours.

The Samsung Galaxy TabPro S Gold Edition (w/ keyboard cover) is priced at $999.99 and is now available in the U.S from Best Buy and Samsung.com. The older model has received a $100 price cut and is now retailing for $799.99 (4GB RAM).
