HP announces EliteBook 705 G4 series with 7th Gen AMD Pro APUs


HP has announced its new EliteBook 705 G4 series Windows 10 laptops targeted at business users. The 705 G4 series sports thin and light design and features AMD's latest 7th generation processor. It includes three models ― Elitebook 725 G4, Elitebook 745 G4 and Elitebook 755 G4.

The main difference between the three models is the screen size ― 12.5-inch on 725 (1366 x 768 and 1920 x 1080 screen options); 14-inch on 745 (1366 x 768, 1920 x 1080 and 2560 x 1440 screen options); and 15.6-inch on 755 (1366 x 768 and 1920 x 1080 options).

All three offer configurations with four different 7th generation AMD APUs: the AMD Pro A12-9800B, A12-8830B, A10-8730B, and A8-9600B. Each model can be configured with up to Full HD screens, 16GB RAM and 1TB HDD or 512GB M.2 SSD storage.

HP says that the 705 G4 series' offers 30 percent longer battery life than previous generation EliteBook notebooks. Other features include 802.11ac wireless, an SD card slot,  2 x USB 3.0 ports, a USB Type-C slot, a DisplayPort slot, an optional webcam, fast charging and Bang and Olufsen audio.

The HP EliteBook 705 G4 series will start shipping in December starting at $769.
