Meizu Band fitness tracker with OLED display, heart-rate tracker announced


Alongside the M5 Note, Meizu also launched its first fitness tracking wearable simply called Band. It includes a heart rate sensor for 24-hour heart rate tracking and an OLED display that shows time and fitness data.

The wearable sports black colored TPU band with stainless buckle and is IP68 rated making it water and dust resistant. Similar to other fitness tracker, Meizu Band is also capable of tracking several fitness activities, sleep, heart rate, distance traveled, steps taken and calories burned. It also offers vibrating alerts for alarm and incoming notifications.

It is rated to deliver up to 15 days of battery life with out heart rate tracking and up to seven days with hear rate tracking.

The fitness tracker is compatible with Android and iOS devices, and connects with them over Bluetooth. There's also a dedicated app for smartphones, that syncs all the fitness related data and feeds.

The Meizu Band is priced at CNY 229 ($33 | Rs. 2,200) and will go on sale in China from December 8.
