Nougat 7.1.1 Discoveries: Pixel Dialer Makes Way To Nexus and Android One

The series of discoveries continues here, Nougat 7.1.1 is an improved form of 7.0 with some added features taken straight from Pixel phones and now added to Nexus and Android One Second Gen devices. Here we are talking about Pixel's Dialer which is way different from the regular Google Dialer, better interface, better animation and better overall experience.

This image comes in from Android One device after getting the update to Nougat 7.1.1 and this is the default dialer for the device now. Better to say, clone of Pixel dialer as Google won't like to call it Pixel Dialer on devices other than Pixel even when it is actually the same. The most significant change is to the dialing screen. Dialing screen now has a transparent background which shows the glimpse of the wallpaper while you are on a call. Other than that, Receiver's image is now in a small circle which used to cover half of the screen in Google Dialer.

Also, Call button (Receive or Reject) now slides Vertically which used to slide Horizontally on Google Dialer. That will make you change your habit. Swiping the Call button up and down changes the screen colors too.

Well, Nexus and Pixel got the 7.1.1 update couple of days ago while Android One got this update on December 2 and we confirmed the same for Nexus that it too has this dialer now. Seems like Pixel stuff is not  so exclusive now.
