Youtube Enables 'Double Tap To Skip'

Youtube, being the biggest video platform on the internet right now, keeps on improving. First, with the Sharing section rolling out to people more and more either by invite or server side and now, there's more which brings better navigation facilities to the watching experience. The feature we are talking about is Doube Tap To Skip (10 Seconds).

It must be a server side update as we have tested the same feature on the same version on multiple devices but doesn't seem to work for all. So, basically this fucntion allows you to skip 10 seconds of video either forward or backward by double tapping right or left respectively. The shot above shows the introduction for the same function.

Though with portrait mode, this can be such a pain as you'll come across instances when you want to skip by double tapping and accidentally the next button will be triggered. Well, this is not the common case with landscape mode so, this feature is anyways welcomed.

If you're not having the same right now, don't worry, just update the app to the latest version(12.01.55) for better chances to get the server side rollout. We would like to throw light that the feature was being tested since October 2016 and made its way today for users. Have you got the skip function? Tell us in the comments section below.
