Sony Rolls Out February Security Patch Ahead Of Google

Sony is surprising everyone by rolling out the February Security Patch to various Xperia devices as we speak. This is a speedy move by the company and the big thing is that it defeated Google for the same.

This was coming from Google only that the OEMs should seed timely security updates to their devices in a manner to help and keep them away from the dangerous vulnerabilities emerging on a daily basis. It's now a trend that keeps on growing, especially the second half of 2016 witnessed many new major viruses that disturbed the Android ecosystem and made it to the headlines. Though, Google fixed each with gradual monthly interations of security patches but could only get to the Pixels and Nexus devices at first.

Sony, making a big improvement in seeding the updates, without a doubt proves out to be excellent this month because the February security patch is currently running on Sony devices only, not even Pixels which are the latest and the greatest from Google.

Well, more or less, Google should be happy with this. One should expect to see the rollout from the giant too, real soon.
